Privacy Policy

TopTile is made by HikaLabs. This policy covers what the app and this website do with your data. The short version: we collect almost nothing, we run no analytics, and we never sell your data.

What the app sends

• License check. To unlock TopTile, the app sends your license key to Polar — our merchant of record — to verify your subscription. This is the only server the app contacts.
• Payment and account. Polar processes your purchase and holds your email, payment details, and billing country. We receive only your email address and license status — never your card number. See the Polar privacy policy for how they handle payment data.

What we don't do

• No analytics, no telemetry, no usage tracking — we don't measure installs, sessions, or anything you do in the app.
• We never see the contents of your files, terminal, or clipboard, or your browsing inside the Web Preview plugin.
• The website sets no cookies and runs no trackers.
• We don't sell your data — there's nothing to sell.

Where data lives

Your TopTile data (bookmarks, file-tree state, preferences) is stored locally on your Mac. It never leaves your machine.

Your choices

• Email support@toptile.io to request deletion of anything we hold about you (your email and license records).
• Cancelling your subscription stops all billing.
